Access to Databases
Note: Off-campus access to article databases is available only for registered students, faculty and staff with a MyJSC login ID and password. Visitors to the library may use our public computers for access to the Internet and our subscription databases.
If you locate an article citation in a database, but the full text is not available online, you may place a request through interlibrary loan. Most databases offer a link to an interlibrary loan form.
Link to the Interlibrary Loan Services page for more information on how to request books or articles.
Several of our databases offer searching by industrial codes. The North American Industry Classification System was developed in 1997, has been revised every five years and replaced the original Standard Industrial Classification code. The 2012 NAICS is now available with cross references between the different editions. The print edition is located at the Reference Desk at [REF DESK]338.01/N811/2012.
Use the Find Journals page to locate titles that are in full text in our databases, in print in our library collection, or that are freely available through open access on the Web. Search by known title, i.e. Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Fortune, Sales & Marketing Management or select from the drop down menu to enter keywords in titles.
Another option is to browse by the subjects Business , Advertising, Finance, Management, and Marketing for hundreds of titles in full text.
A select list of magazines, newspapers, scholarly journals and trade periodicals includes:
Bloomberg Business Week
Harvard Business Review
Hotel & Motel Management
New York Times
Wall Street Journal
